Portland Oregon Rhinoplasty & Chin Augmentation*

This lovely patient from Portland underwent a refinement rhinoplasty by Dr. Brian Scott to lower a small bump, straighten her nose, stabilize her tip so that it doesn’t droop when she smiles, and improve her breathing. Dr. Brian Scott also placed a chin implant placed which helps balance her facial profile. If you notice on her oblique photos you can see that she has dimpling at her chin. This is caused by an overactive chin muscle (mentalis) that works to elevate and close the lip. When the chin is recessed, this muscle must work overtime to keep the lip closed….which leads to dimpling. By adding an implant, her chin was brought into a more favorable alignment and her lower facial muscles can relax (without using Botox). She is now 2 months out and very happy!
