We have built an extraordinary facility that complies with state licensing and federal certification requirements for participation in the Medicare program. The Petroff Center is a State Licensed Type I Ambulatory Surgery Center designed to deliver the highest quality care in a safe and pleasing environment.

AAAHC Accreditation
The Petroff Center is pleased to announce that we have recently been accredited for three years by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). AAAHC approves accreditation in 6-month, 1-year and 3-year increments. Three-year approvals are the AAAHC’s highest merit.
This is an important milestone in the continuing growth and success of our health care organization. Accreditation shows our commitment to providing the highest levels of quality care to our patients, and the same high level of conduct in our business practices.
Accreditation by AAAHC is proof of this commitment, and signifies that we have met the rigorous standards of a nationally recognized third party. We are proud to have met the challenge of accreditation, and intend to consistently uphold the principles of quality improvement and patient care in the future.
Accreditation distinguishes this surgical center from many other outpatient surgical facilities by providing a safe work environment and the highest quality of care to its patients. Status as an accredited organization means we have met nationally recognized standards for the provision of quality health care set by AAAHC. Almost 5,000 ambulatory health care organizations across the United States are accredited by AAAHC. Not all ambulatory health care organizations seek accreditation; not all undergoing the on-site survey are granted accreditation.
There are fifteen ambulatory surgery centers in the state of Oregon with this accreditation. All but three of these organizations cater to multiple surgical specialties. The Petroff Center is the only accredited ambulatory surgery center in the state of Oregon that its sole specialty is facial plastic surgery, providing patients with privacy and quality care. This focused specialty caters to healthy clientele which minimizes patient exposure to potential illness and infection.
Ambulatory health care organizations seeking accreditation by AAAHC undergo an extensive self-assessment and on-site survey by AAAHC expert surveyors – volunteer physicians, nurses, and administrators who are actively involved in ambulatory health care. The survey is consultative and educational, presenting best practices to help an organization improve its care and services.
