Patient Bill Of Rights
All patients seen and given care at the Petroff Center have the right to be treated with respect, consideration and dignity, regardless of age, sex, race, creed, or national origin.
Patients have the right to privacy during their consultation and total confidentiality concerning all aspects of their care. Medical records will be kept strictly confidential. Information will be released to other parties only with written approval from the patient or as required by law.
Patients have the right to actively participate in decisions involving their healthcare except when such participation is contraindicated for medical reasons.
Information is available to patients and staff concerning patient rights, conduct, responsibilities, services available, provision for after hours care, fees for services, payment policies, patient rights to refuse to participate in experimental research, advance directives as required by federal or state law, and credentialing of health care professionals.
Patients are informed of their right to change physicians if they so desire.
Patients have the right to honest and forthcoming communication regarding marketing and advertising the competence and capabilities of the Petroff Center.
Patients will be informed about our procedure for expressing suggestions to our organization as well as our policy regarding grievance procedures.
